How the App Works

Aussie Citizenship Exam Practice is designed to be 100% offline and 100% private:

• All content is bundled within the app download
• No internet connection is required after the initial download
• No accounts or user registration needed
• No third-party analytics SDKs integrated
• No data transmission to any servers — ever

Local Storage Only

The only data stored is on your own device:

• App content and questions (included in the download)
• Your progress and quiz results (stored locally only)
• Settings, bookmarks, and preferences (device-local storage)

This data is never accessible to us or any third party, and it remains entirely under your control. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

No Cookies or Tracking

Our website (ozcitizen.com.au) and the app do not use:

• Cookies or similar tracking technologies
• Web beacons or tracking pixels
• Analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
• Advertising networks or retargeting pixels
• Third-party scripts with data collection capabilities

App Store Information

When you download our app from an app store, the store itself may collect:

• Download information (anonymised by the store)
• Payment information for purchases (processed by the store)
• Device region for pricing localisation

This information is collected and controlled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. We have no access to this data beyond aggregate download counts shown in the developer console.

Third-Party Services

We use minimal third-party services, none of which collect personal data from users:

• App Stores: Google Play and Apple App Store for app distribution
• Payment Processors: In-app purchases are processed by the app store. We receive only payment confirmation — not your card details or personal information
• Google Fonts: Used on our website for typography. Font files are served by Google but no personal data is associated with font requests

Data Security

Since we don't collect any data, there is no data for us to secure or for others to breach. Your information remains on your device, under your control, at all times.

Children's Privacy

Our service does not collect any personal information from anyone, making it inherently safe for all users including children. We do not knowingly target or market to children under 13.

International Users

Since no data is collected or transmitted, there are no international data transfer concerns under GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act, COPPA, or any other privacy regulation. All data remains on your device in your jurisdiction.

Your Rights

Because we collect no personal information, there is no data held by us to access, correct, delete, or transfer. If you want to remove all app data, simply uninstall the app from your device.

Aussie Citizenship Exam Practice is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs. We are an independent study aid published by HuLearn (ozcitizen.com.au).

Website Email Signup

The landing page at ozcitizen.com.au offers a voluntary email notification signup. If you submit your email address, it is stored securely in Cloudflare KV and used solely for launch notification purposes. It is not shared with any third party, not used for advertising, and not linked to any personal account. You can request removal at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)

HuLearn acknowledges the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because the App collects no personal information, our obligations under the APPs are minimal. The voluntary email signup on our website collects an email address solely for launch notification purposes, stored in a secured Cloudflare KV store; it is not used for any other purpose and is not disclosed to third parties.

Google Play — Data Safety

For the purposes of Google Play's Data Safety section: No data is collected. The App does not collect, share, or store any personal data, financial data, location data, health data, messages, photos, files, contacts, device identifiers, or any other data category listed in Google Play's Data Safety form. All App data (progress, settings) is stored exclusively on the user's device and is never transmitted.

Apple App Store — Privacy Nutrition Label

For Apple's App Privacy label, this App falls under "Data Not Collected." We do not collect any data linked or linkable to you. This applies to all Apple privacy nutrition label categories including: Contact Info, Health & Fitness, Financial Info, Location, Sensitive Info, Contacts, User Content, Browsing History, Search History, Identifiers, Usage Data, Diagnostics, and Other Data.
